2024 Taiwanese Presidential Election: Crypto Candidate Appears on the Kuomintang List
With approximately two months left until the 2024 presidential election, the Kuomintang (KMT) announced yesterday (the 19th) the list of at-large legislative candidates and submitted them to the KMT Central Standing Committee. That afternoon, the Central Committee held a plenary meeting to individually exercise consent on the nominated candidates.

One surprise was the appearance of a well-known figure from Taiwan's crypto circle. Apart from former Kaohsiung Mayor Han Kuo-yu topping the list, the third place on the at-large list surprisingly goes to Ju-Chun Ko「寶博士」葛如鈞, who is also introduced as an AI and blockchain expert on the Nationalist Party's list.

His candidature is believed to significantly promote Web3-related issues in parliament.
