Nikita Bier, X's product lead and Solana advisor, posted on the X platform that since October of last year, a prevailing view in the crypto tweet (CT) community has been that users need to post a large number of replies daily to achieve account growth. However, he pointed out that frequent posting continuously depletes daily influence, and since the average user only views about 20-30 posts per day, the platform cannot fully push all content from a single user to their followers. This leads some crypto users to excessively consume their influence on low-value interactions such as "gm" messages, resulting in limited reach when posting substantive content like project announcements. Nikita Bier believes the decline in crypto tweet influence stems primarily from community behavior, not platform algorithm issues, describing it as "CT is dying from suicide." These comments subsequently sparked controversy within the crypto community. Crypto analyst and LedgArt co-founder KALEO stated that Nikita Bier's approach failed to consider user growth and long-term active users, potentially weakening the crypto community ecosystem on the X platform, and publicly called for his resignation. Nikita Bier has since deleted the aforementioned tweet.
