Binance and Pakistan sign Memorandum of Understanding to explore $2 billion in national asset tokenization.

Binance has signed a memorandum of understanding with Pakistan and plans to explore the tokenization of up to $2 billion worth of bonds, treasury bills, and commodity reserves in Pakistan. Pakistan's Ministry of Finance stated that the initiative could pave the way for the tokenization of more government-held real-world assets and their distribution on blockchain-based platforms. This comes a day after Bilal Bin Saqib, chairman of the Virtual Asset Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (VARA), announced in a video interview with CoinDesk that Pakistan plans to accelerate cryptocurrency adoption, utilize Bitcoin mining, and launch a national stablecoin.
