IRS Cryptocurrency Division Leadership Changes, Veteran Trish Turner Takes Charge of Digital Assets Office

Trish Turner has worked at the IRS for more than 20 years and previously served as a senior adviser to the Digital Assets Office. Seth Wilks and Raj Mukherjee, two key crypto project leaders at the U.S. Internal Revenue Service (IRS), resigned last Friday and accepted the government's "DOGE Delayed Resignation Plan." The two previously came from the crypto industry and joined the IRS in 2024 to formulate crypto tax policies and lead the development of the new version of the 1099-DA tax form. (Bloomberg)
