Kraken uncovers North Korean hackers' infiltration attempt posing as job seekers

After receiving warnings from industry partners about North Korean hackers targeting crypto companies, Kraken identified that the email used by the candidate was related to the hacker group. Through open source intelligence analysis, the security team found that the hacker used multiple fake identities to apply for positions in multiple companies and found technical anomalies such as the use of VPNs and forged identity documents. Kraken eventually revealed his identity through verification tests and reported it to US authorities.
