The government of El Salvador established a National Bitcoin Office with the goal of designing, planning and evaluating Bitcoin-related programs for economic development in the country

The government of El Salvador has created a new National Bitcoin Office (ONBTC) to manage all projects related to cryptocurrencies. The creation of the new institution, facilitated by the signing of Decree No. 49 by the President of El Salvador, will serve as an executive branch with functional and technical autonomy during the presidency of the Republic, with the goal of designing, planning, coordinating, following up, measuring, analyzing and evaluating Bitcoin Related programs and projects to achieve economic development of the country.
