According to Revista GatoEncerrado, the Minister of Economy of El Salvador, MariaLuisaHayem, proposed the promulgation of the "Digital Asset Issuance Law" to establish a legal framework to regulate the requirements and obligations of issuers and asset service agencies. The regulation proposes the creation of a "National Digital Assets Commission" to oversee public offerings of digital assets. The committee's powers include: managing and updating digital asset issuers, validators, service providers, and authorizing and delisting public issuer registers. In addition, the bill proposes the creation of a Bitcoin Fund Management Agency (AAB) to manage, secure and invest funds obtained from the issuance of national digital assets. The AAB will be managed by an administrator appointed by the President. Public works and projects of the people, will open bank or crypto accounts to store and pay for these funds.
