Ontario Teachers' Pension Fund to write down $95M investment in FTX in full

Ontario Teachers' Pension Plan will write down its $95 million investment in FTX in full at the end of the year. The fund said it invested $75 million in FTX International and its U.S. entity, FTX.US, in October 2021, and then invested another $20 million in FTX.US in January of this year. The investments were made through the Teachers' Venture Growth (TVG) platform and represented less than 0.05% of the fund's total NAV, the statement added. The Ontario Teachers' Association said the financial loss of the investment would have limited impact on the fund.
