Interpol has issued a "red notice" on behalf of Finland to its member countries for Hex and PulseChain founder Richard James Schueler, commonly known as Richard Heart to cryptocurrency investors.
A red notice is a formal warning to Interpol member countries that a valid national arrest warrant has been issued for an individual. The warrant typically triggers extradition proceedings if the wanted person is detained in another country. In this case, Finland issued an arrest warrant for Schueler on charges of evading "hundreds of millions of euros" in taxes and allegedly assaulting a 16-year-old, according to the website of Europol, the European Union's law enforcement agency.
"Schueler failed to file corporate tax returns for many years and failed to fill in income information on pre-filled personal tax returns... The total amount of tax evasion was hundreds of millions of euros," the website said. It also described Schueler's assault charges, in which he allegedly beat a 16-year-old girl. (The Block)
Previously in September, Hex and PulseChain founder Richard Schueler (also known as Richard Heart) is under criminal investigation in Finland for suspected major tax evasion and assault.
Helsinki police said Schueler, who lives in Helsinki, is suspected of evading hundreds of millions of euros in taxes. Police believe that Schueler created, released and promoted his cryptocurrency project in Finland, and his marketing range spans the globe. It is reported that the suspected tax evasion occurred between June 2, 2020 and April 2, 2024, and another assault charge occurred between February 16 and 17, 2021. Schueler also faces charges from the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in the United States, accused of illegally raising more than $1 billion.
