Fintech firm Qenta, which uses blockchain technology to track precious metals, will list on Nasdaq following a merger with special purpose acquisition company (SPAC) Blockchain Coinvestors Acquisition Corp, according to a U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filing. The transaction is expected to close in the first half of 2023, and once completed, the combined company will have an initial market value of approximately $904 million. Qenta has also secured $180 million in funding from Luxembourg investment firm GEM Global Yield. GEM will offer a 48-month subscription to Qenta shares. Qenta has moved beyond precious metals into digital assets, focusing on digitizing transactions while providing provenance, custody and ownership tracking through blockchain technology.
