At the event “Unlocking MiCA: Opportunities and Challenges for Crypto Business”, Giovanni Cunti, CEO of Gate MT, a platform under Gate Group, discussed the transformative potential of MiCA (Markets in Crypto-Assets Act) with the Head of Fintech at the Malta Financial Services Authority (MFSA) and other experts.
Cunti described how Gate.MT chose Malta as the base for its European compliance business and operated under the VFA framework, which will be fully implemented in 2028. He emphasized the advantages that MiCA will bring, especially the potential to build trust among institutional investors and achieve a “passport” license across Europe, which is also in line with Gate.MT’s goal of providing a safe and regulated trading platform throughout the EU. “We are committed to promoting safe and reliable access to crypto assets and setting the standard for regulated markets in Europe.”
It is reported that Gate.MT is now in the final review stage of MiCA license and is actively preparing to play a key role in Europe’s growing crypto market.
