Solana-Based Credit Protocol Credix Credix Opens $150M Stablecoin Credit Pool to Digital Lending Platform Clave

Solana-based credit protocol Credix has opened a $150 million stablecoin credit pool to digital lending platform Clave for lending to businesses and consumers in Latin America, CoinDesk reported. The credit facility will open in 2023, with debt denominated in USDC, a stablecoin pegged to the U.S. dollar. The Clave debt pool will be segmented into various smaller funds, called “tranches,” to provide investment opportunities for institutional investors with different risk-return profiles. Clave’s debt in Credix’s credit pool is collateralized by borrowers’ receivables, according to Chaim Finizola, Credix’s chief growth officer. Clave lends to businesses and consumers in Argentina and Colombia, and plans to expand to Mexico next year.
