According to a study conducted by consulting firm Universelle, the SRC20 protocol is superior to other protocols running on the Bitcoin network due to its “unparalleled data persistence”, and the protocol’s upcoming cost-reducing upgrades make SRC20 one of the choices for long-term projects and investments.
The study said that the SRC20 protocol is superior to Runes and BRC20 because it does not require the transfer of inscriptions or split UTXOs. Regarding wallet support, the report noted that while both BRC20 and Runes have a higher level of infrastructure and wallet support, the SRC20 protocol is catching up quickly.
In terms of funding, SRC20-based projects have attracted $5 million to $10 million in venture capital, which is less than BRC20 ($20 million). However, Universelle asserts that capital flowing into SRC20 tokens will increase with increased acceptance and adoption. (Bitcoin.com)
