Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission spokesperson: No comment on the consideration of allowing Ethereum ETFs to be pledged

Sources revealed that the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission is discussing with virtual asset ETF issuers about staking through licensed platforms. It is reported that the relevant consultations are ongoing and there is no clear timetable, but a spokesperson for the Hong Kong Securities and Futures Commission has said that it will not comment on the matter. Market insiders pointed out that after the Ethereum ETF adds the staking function, it will become an interest-bearing asset, which will be a milestone.
