Crypto Mining Firm Sphere 3D Scales Down Purchases of Mining Machines from BitFuFu

Encrypted mining company Sphere 3D has reduced the scale of mining machines purchased from computing power service provider BitFuFu. According to the restructured transaction, Sphere 3D has used the $106.9 million deposit paid to BitFuFu so far to receive computing power of 1.7 EH in 2022 /s mining machine, and exempt from purchasing a mining machine with a total computing power of 3.9 EH/s. Sphere 3D and BitFuFu initially signed an agreement in September 2021 to purchase the Antminer S19J & Pro series with a total computing power of 6.0 EH/s.
