Earlier on Wednesday, Bitcoin DeFi application ALEX Lab's bridge service was attacked by a suspected private key leak, resulting in the loss of more than $4.3 million in its various tokens. Security research agency CertiK said that the attacker may have obtained the private keys that control the ALEX XLink bridge. The hacker transferred more than $300,000 worth of BTC, $3.3 million worth of stablecoins, and $75,000 worth of Sugar Kingdom (SKO) tokens.
ALEX developers confirmed the hack on X earlier in European time, claiming that they know the identity of the attacker. The team promised a 10% bounty, requiring the hacker to return 90% of the stolen funds. (CoinDesk)
