According to official news, the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology Digital Finance Laboratory (HKUST Digital Finance Laboratory) announced that it has accepted a donation of US$50,000 (equivalent to approximately HK$390,000) in MASK from the decentralized social ecosystem Mask Network. The donation will be used to support the research center in blockchain-related research and student activities, and to promote the research topics of the research center members to be closer to the application scenarios of blockchain.
Mask Network founder Suji Yan said: "The challenge we are facing in the Web3 industry is that people have too little knowledge of the industry. Mask Network's donation is to promote education and cognition in this field. We support the development of Web3 in Hong Kong, and we believe that only by promoting Web3 education can we help Hong Kong maintain its long-term competitiveness as a crypto center."
The HKUST Digital Finance Laboratory is an important stop for Mask Network Academy to promote global Web3 research and education. In addition, the Academy also donated to Korea University at the beginning of this year to support related student blockchain activities, and will continue to connect and promote research and exchanges between relevant universities in Europe and the United States and the Asian region.
