FX168 Financial News: After Bitcoin experienced a panic-driven plunge over the past weekend, it has continued to decline from Monday (March 18). Additionally, this week, the Federal Open Market Committee's (FOMC) economic projections, press conference, and interest rate decision will be the market's focus. After investors digest the U.S. inflation data, the Fed's more hawkish rate path could put pressure on Bitcoin and cause the asset class that was boosted last month by optimism over its approval to fall back into macroeconomic concerns. The sticky inflation data has led to higher interest rates and a stronger dollar, which has performed poorly for risk assets. Morgan Stanley predicts that the Fed will announce keeping interest rates unchanged, with little change to the official statement and forecasts, with the median forecast maintaining three rate cuts. However, renowned analyst Bob Mason believes Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Ripple will all experience dramatic declines this week. Calculations estimate the overall decline will be between 10%-20%.
