Bitcoin futures trading volume increased 14.1% to $1.1 trillion in January

Data from The Block Pro showed that open interest in Bitcoin futures contracts fell by 5.9% in January, while open interest in Ethereum futures fell by 1.5%. Bitcoin futures monthly trading volume increased 14.1% to $1.1 trillion. In addition, CME Bitcoin futures open interest increased by 3.1% to $5 billion, and average daily trading volume increased by 29.2% to $3.44 billion. Ethereum futures monthly trading volume increased 0.9% to $511 billion. Bitcoin options open interest fell 6.4% in January, while Ethereum options open interest increased 6.5%. The monthly trading volume of Bitcoin options increased by 5.2% to US$39.9 billion, a new high; the monthly trading volume of Ethereum options increased by 17.3% to US$17.9 billion, a new high.
