Gnosis Chain stated on the X platform that on October 19, Gnosis Chain block producers encountered a network-wide block production problem, causing nodes to produce blocks with invalid status roots. Every node in the network (including the block producers themselves) rejected these blocks. As a result, the network did not see any new blocks for multiple epochs until the error was corrected, with a total of 4 incidents occurring on the same day.
Gnosis Chain stated that there was no loss of funds, no fines, and no long-term reorganization to a full node. The issue has been resolved and stakers running Nethermind are strongly recommended to update to Nethermind v1.21.1.
