According to Odaily: Fiat24, a Swiss regulated bank based on Arbitrum, recently suggested a "temperature check" vote on the Uniswap governance platform. The proposal concerned the issuance of a Visa debit card branded with the Uniswap logo. However, the initiative has been met with notable opposition from the community. This co-branded Visa card would initially be issued to inhabitants of the 27 countries within the European Union, and there were discussions of future expansion plans to encompass Southeast Asian and Latin American nations. Designed for euro transactions, the proposed card would also support payment systems like Apple Pay and Google Pay.Fiat24 emphasized that the introduction of the card would not impose any effort or costs upon Uniswap DAO. Instead, the bank would shoulder all associated labor and related expenses. Nonetheless, the proposal has been received skeptically, with 51.5% of the current votes leaning against it. The voting process is scheduled to conclude on October 28.
