The U.S. Department of the Treasury has released new FAQs in response to the Tornado Cash sanctions controversy. “The U.S. sanctions do not prohibit U.S. citizens from copying open source code and making it available online for viewing by others, as well as discussing, teaching, or incorporating open source code into written publications, such as textbooks,” the Treasury Department said.
