New version of Damus on the App Store still allows users to send zaps to each other at the profile level

Nostr core developer William Casarin tweeted, "In order to stay in the App Store, I had to remove the prompt button. I will still build Damus as a normal Nostr client on iOS, but if you want to zap posts, Apple says no." The new version of Damus will not have zaps on posts, but will still allow users to send zaps to each other at the profile level. Foresight News previously reported that on June 28, although Jack Dorsey tweeted yesterday that the open social application Damus had been removed from the Apple App Store. However, Damus still released the v1.5 version update on the Apple App Store today, which includes a new end-to-end video player, integrated Nostr wallet connection, performance improvements and bug fixes. In addition, as measured by Foresight News, Damus is still available for download in the Apple App Store.
