Odaily Planet Daily News On the second day that DCG sought to dismiss the fraud lawsuit, Gemini co-founder Cameron Winklevoss responded on Twitter as follows:
The response they (DCG) submitted yesterday was well-prepared but revealing. For example, their claim that they have "barely any ties to the Gemini Earn program" is a direct acknowledgment that they do have ties to the Gemini Earn program.
They also claim that there is "no obligation to Gemini to correct Genesis' misrepresentations". You must be joking when you own a company that says you wrote a check for $1.1 billion and you know it wasn't written by you and it's your responsibility to correct that.
Honestly, this is a summary of a law student conceiving a technical legal defense out of thin air. It completely ignores the reality of the situation in a comical way. But to be fair, it's in line with Barry's (referring to Barry Silbert's) denial of responsibility, playing dumb, and trying to distance itself from technical details. All I can say is good luck in making these arguments to the jury. See you in court.
Yesterday, DCG filed a motion seeking to dismiss cryptocurrency exchange Gemini’s lawsuit against the company and its founder Barry Silbert, describing the July lawsuit as “a continuation of Winklevoss’ year-long Twitter-based character assassination.” ".
