Odaily Planet Daily News ETF issuer Direxion has submitted Bitcoin and Ethereum futures ETF applications to the US SEC.
The product, dubbed the "Direxion Bitcoin Ether Strategy ETF," will invest in bitcoin and ethereum futures contracts, while also investing in other ETFs that have exposure to futures products. (CoinDesk)
According to previous news, according to the information shared by Bloomberg ETF senior analyst Eric Balchunas on Twitter, 6 companies are currently applying for Ethereum futures ETF.
After Volatility Shares submitted an Ethereum futures ETF application on July 28, Bitwise, Roundhill, VanEck, Proshares, and Grayscale (Greyscale) followed up on August 1, namely Bitwise Ethereum Strategy ETF, Roundhill Ether Strategy ETF, Ethereum Strategy ETF, Proshares Short Ether Strategy ETF, and Grayscale Ethereum Futures ETF (ETHG).
Bloomberg ETF analyst James Seyffart tweeted that based on recent events and the latest information, the probability of spot Bitcoin ETF approval has been officially increased to 65%. It was 50% a few weeks ago and 1% a few months ago.
