Optimism will be making some necessary infrastructure upgrades to the Kubernetes mainnet on January 27th, with no more than 15 minutes of downtime expected for the upgrade. The Optimism team discovered early this morning that an earlier service provider outage triggered a bug in Optimism nodes, causing performance degradation on the Goerli testnet. Currently the team has deployed a fix for the Goerli testnet and is monitoring the results. If the user is running an archived Optimism Goerli node, no action is required. If the user is running a full node, the node will need to be resynced from the migrated Bedrock Goerli data directory.
