According to Insider reports, metaverse e-commerce company Emperia completed a $10 million Series A financing, led by Base10 Partners, Sony Innovation Fund, Background Capital, Stanford Capital Partners and Concept Ventures, as well as angel investor Jay Radia. The new funds will be used to expand its headcount and invest in developing its data suite. The metaverse platform built by Emperia can create an immersive virtual shopping experience for brand owners in the retail industry and build a metaverse store. Its current partners include luxury brand Dior, clothing company Lacoste, and luxury department store chain Bloomingdale's.
