Stablecoin issuer Tether, which holds about 11.5% of Juventus, plans to contribute €28.8 million to the club’s proposed €250 million capital increase, in line with its stake. According to Odaily, Tether voted in favor of the plan at a shareholders’ meeting on November 3 but abstained on the other ordinary meeting proposals, including approval of an annual financial report showing a €66 million loss.
In December 2025, Tether made a binding, unsolicited offer to Exor, Juventus’ majority shareholder, to acquire all of the club’s shares; Exor rejected the offer. Last November, Tether contributed €11.7 million to a €98 million Juventus capital increase but opposed the specific terms of that plan.
