U.S. President Donald Trump has told advisers he plans to continue raising money for his political efforts to regain influence in the Republican Party after the party’s major midterm losses. According to Odaily, maintaining MAGA Inc., an existing super PAC, or setting up a new organization would give Trump a platform to influence the 2028 elections and those that follow, including the next presidential race. It could also allow him to pressure Republican lawmakers considering breaking with him.
During the 2026 Republican primaries, MAGA Inc. helped defeat Thomas Massie, a Kentucky Republican congressman who had publicly criticized Trump. Fundraising may become more difficult as Democrats control Congress and major donors turn their attention to the 2028 election.
