Kaia users with public delegated staking must manually move their KAIA to a new staking contract, with withdrawal applications opening November 17. According to Foresight News, citing Kaia’s blog, staked KAIA will not migrate automatically; users must withdraw it from the existing contract and deposit it into the new one.
The process involves submitting a withdrawal request, waiting seven days, withdrawing the tokens, and redepositing them into the new contract. Submitting a withdrawal request alone does not complete the migration.
Kaia plans to publish a detailed guide on November 13. Kaia Portal will open a migration menu and begin accepting withdrawal applications on November 17, while withdrawals and redeposits will be available starting November 26. The menu will direct users to the new staking contract associated with their current delegated GC. The transition also includes deploying a new staking contract and conducting a network hard fork.
CR Mission 1 participants who complete the migration according to the schedule will retain the same recognition for their KAIA staking contribution.
