Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing’s third-quarter profit unexpectedly declined as concerns over massive AI investments cooled the IPO boom and market trading. According to Sina Finance, HKEX said Friday that net profit fell 1% year over year to HK$4.9 billion, below analysts’ average estimate of HK$5.03 billion, while core business revenue was flat at HK$7.47 billion. HKEX Chief Executive Bonnie Y Chan said, “Amid rising uncertainty in the macro environment and continued market volatility, we are even more committed to building a deeper and more diversified multi-asset ecosystem.”
