According to ChainCatcher, real estate tokenization platform GromaCorp has launched GromaCoin (GRO) on Uniswap v4, making it the automated market maker’s first permissioned asset. GRO trades against USDC, and verified investors can buy, sell, issue and redeem it onchain at net asset value. The Base-based ERC-3643 security token embeds KYC and investor eligibility rules to block transfers to unauthorized wallets.
Each GRO represents partial ownership in Groma Real Estate Trust, a U.S.-regulated REIT focused on multifamily properties in the Greater Boston and Providence areas. The trust has nearly $95 million in assets, a net asset value of $1.07 per GRO, a portfolio of 125 to more than 150 income-producing properties, quarterly distributions and a current yield of about 3.74%.
Uniswap introduced its Permissioned Pools framework on July 23, 2026, allowing issuers to manage whitelists and enforce onchain compliance checks. GRO is the first asset using the framework and is currently available only to eligible investors. Groma has also partnered with Birch Hill and Morpho to let holders borrow USDC against GRO, with an initial lending supply cap of $5 million.
