Zelensky Thanks Republicans, Urges Both Parties to Boost Ukraine Aid After Trump's Midterm Loss

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky thanked Republicans and called for both U.S. parties to increase aid to Ukraine after Donald Trump's midterm election loss. According to Sina Finance, Zelensky said stronger financial or weapons support from Congress could influence Vladimir Putin's decision to continue the conflict and bring Ukraine closer to negotiations and peace. He hoped a Democratic victory would strengthen U.S. support, noting that Democrats had made their position on aid clear and proposed repairing U.S.-European ties, which he said were important to Ukraine. Zelensky acknowledged that U.S. politicians' main concern after the election would remain domestic issues, but said Democrats had signaled during the campaign that they would continue to focus closely on the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
