London-based asset manager Schroders has partnered with tokenization platform Centrifuge to deploy a tokenized emerging market bond fund on Solana. According to Foresight News, citing CoinDesk, the fund tokenizes Schroder International Selection Fund Emerging Market Bonds; as of June, Schroders managed approximately $1.1 trillion in assets. The product is structured as a feeder fund with an on-chain share class that invests in Schroders’ emerging market bond fund, meaning investors hold tokenized feeder-fund shares rather than direct shares in the underlying fund. Schroders received Irish regulatory approval in August to launch its first tokenized U.S. dollar money market fund share class, Schroders Onchain Active Returns (SOAR).
