U.S. Midterms: $64 Million in Crypto Spending Fails to Stop Sherrod Brown's Return to Senate

Journalist Eleanor Terrett said on X that the U.S. midterm elections were a difficult night overall for Republicans and the crypto industry. According to PANews, more than $64 million in crypto industry spending did not prevent Sherrod Brown from returning to the Senate; Brown could receive a leadership position on a committee with jurisdiction over the crypto industry. Pro-crypto House Republicans Bryan Steil, Zach Nunn, and Ann Wagner lost their seats, while Mike Lawler conceded defeat. The Associated Press had not called the race in New York's 17th Congressional District.
