Matter Labs’ Prividium Completes SOC 2 Type II Audit

Matter Labs said its institutional privacy-chain platform, Prividium, has completed a SOC 2 Type II audit covering security, availability, confidentiality and privacy. According to Foresight News, the audit was conducted by Thoropass Assurance, an independent auditor recognized by the AICPA. The Type I audit, completed in the first half of this year, assessed the design of controls as of May 29. The Type II audit tested whether those controls operated effectively from July 1 to September 30, 2026. Matter Labs said banks and regulated institutions typically require a Type II report for vendor risk reviews before a platform goes live. The report will be shared with customers and qualified prospective customers after they sign a nondisclosure agreement. The SOC 2 certification was one of the deliverables in ZKsync governance proposal TPP-18. A Q3 report had listed it as in progress; it is now complete.
