Jito has named Bitwise, Triton One and SOL Strategies as the first third-party operators of its BAM nodes, with their deployment on the testnet expected soon. According to Foresight News, Jito said all BAM nodes on the testnet and mainnet had previously been operated by Jito.
Jito outlined three stages for onboarding the operators. In the first stage, they will deploy BAM nodes inside confidential virtual machines (CVMs) running on bare-metal hardware on the testnet. All three have prepared their hardware and are working on deployment and connection.
In the second stage, expected to begin by the end of 2026, the testnet nodes will move to the mainnet but will be available only to the operators’ own BAM validators. The third stage is targeted for early Q1 2027, when the nodes are expected to open to any validator.
The final stage depends on two features under development: attestations, and a verifier to check whether block producers follow transaction ordering set by BAM nodes, along with Autobahn, an automatic banning feature for ordering violations. Jito said the first operators received no additional financial incentives. It plans to later announce the process for onboarding new operators and the economic model for maintaining node operations.
