Binance Extends bStocks Margin Collateral Eligibility to Cross Margin and Portfolio Margin Accounts

According to the announcement from Binance, bStocks margin collateral eligibility has been extended to all Cross Margin and Portfolio Margin accounts, expanding collateral options and capital flexibility for users. The update applies to accounts that use bStocks as collateral and introduces additional risk controls for Regular, VIP 1 and VIP 2 accounts. These users must pass a suitability assessment questionnaire before using bStocks as collateral or engaging in bStocks Margin trading when that feature eventually becomes available. Binance said accounts that exceed certain risk thresholds may face restrictions designed to manage exposure and reduce liquidation risk. The measures may include limiting additional bStocks transfers into the account, limiting the purchase or borrowing of Medium-liquidity and Low-liquidity assets except for repaying existing liabilities, allowing transfer-in of suitable assets to help mitigate liquidation risk, limiting new Futures positions in Portfolio Margin accounts with reduce-only permitted, and pausing auto top-up for bStocks, Medium-liquidity and Low-liquidity assets. High-liquidity assets remain unrestricted throughout, while accounts not holding bStocks as collateral are unaffected. Binance said restrictions will be lifted automatically once an account returns to a safe risk level. To avoid triggering the controls, users are advised to keep Medium-liquidity and Low-liquidity exposure moderate and maintain sufficient High-liquidity assets. VIP 3 and above users are exempt from these risk controls, and any VIP tier changes will automatically apply or remove the corresponding measures.
