According to CNBC, President Donald Trump called Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang while Huang was on stage at the All-In Summit in Los Angeles on Monday, telling him that robots will not take over the world and repeating his view that concerns about AI and data centers are a hoax. The report said Huang is set to attend Trump's state dinner for Chinese President Xi Jinping next week, and that Nvidia has become central to the AI boom by supplying chips used by OpenAI, Anthropic and others. Nvidia said revenue rose to $215 billion in the latest fiscal year from $17 billion in 2021. Huang has publicly argued that fears about AI are not grounded in science and that safety issues should be handled through engineering, while Anthropic and OpenAI have pushed for tighter oversight.
