Bitcoin News said on X that Flipper's upcoming LoRa module can send messages through a radio repeater network without relying on the internet. According to Odaily, tests in London showed messages traveling more than 150 kilometers through the MeshCore network.
The technology can also be used to send Bitcoin transactions. Signed Bitcoin transaction data can be transmitted through LoRa radio and repeaters to a gateway connected to a Bitcoin node, which then broadcasts it to the network. Users can send transactions this way when local internet access is unavailable.
