Iowa Town Pushes Back on QTS Data Center Plan

Blackstone-owned QTS proposed a large data center in Clinton, Iowa, that it said would create thousands of construction jobs and generate nearly $200 million in property taxes over its first 10 years, according to Bloomberg. Many residents oppose the project, citing concerns about noise pollution, environmental damage and higher utility costs, even if it means giving up some economic growth.
