House Committee Advances Digital Asset Tax Certainty Act by 38-5

The House Ways and Means Committee advanced H.R. 10357, the Digital Asset Tax Certainty Act, by a 38-5 vote. According to NS3.AI, the bill would provide tax relief for certain digital-asset network and transaction fees. Crypto groups are seeking broader relief for everyday payments and changes to when staking and mining rewards become taxable. The bill would treat validation income as ordinary income, but it does not include the requested deferral until token rewards are sold.
