SEC Introduces Five-Year Exemption for Trading Certain Tokenized U.S. Stocks Onchain

The SEC introduced an exemption for trading certain tokenized U.S. stocks onchain after the Clarity Act failed to advance in the Senate this week. According to NS3.AI, the exemption takes effect immediately and will last up to five years. It applies to tokenized stocks that carry the same rights as traditional shares. Synthetic products are excluded from the exemption.
