US House Passes Bill Authorizing Trump to Raise Tariffs on Russian Oil Buyers

If Trump uses the new authority, major buyers of Russian oil products, including India and U.S. ally Turkey, could face broad new tariffs. Democrats also tried to amend the bill to make clear that the European Union would not be treated as a country under the measure, but that effort was rejected.
