Dah Sing Bank said its second annual Investor Confidence Index came in at 68, roughly unchanged from last year, indicating Hong Kong investors’ overall confidence remained moderately positive despite uncertainty over the global economic outlook, geopolitics and market volatility, according to Ming Pao. The bank cited an economist as saying the Federal Reserve is more likely to raise interest rates this week, and that the impact on the market will depend on the size of any hike and whether the move triggers a lasting shock.
