According to Odaily, she said the claim originally came from a long-inactive X account belonging to an Anthropic employee who left the company after six weeks, and that the content quickly spread into mainstream media. Wood also said Sacks identified the parties involved and criticized The Wall Street Journal's role in the matter. She added that all technology can be used for malicious purposes and said people such as Elon Musk, who are not involved in political conspiracies but continue to stress AI risks, are playing a positive role.
