Vy Capital Holds About 3.4% of SpaceX, Becoming Its Fifth-Largest Shareholder

Vy Capital, a venture firm with a four-person investment team, holds about 3.4% of SpaceX and is now the company’s fifth-largest shareholder. According to Odaily, the stake is valued at about $40 billion and is larger than the disclosed holdings of Sequoia Capital and a16z. Vy Capital first invested in SpaceX in 2016, when the company was valued at about $15 billion. The firm’s assets under management rose from $27 billion at the end of last year to $50 billion in June.
