U.S. July Wholesale Inventories Rise 1.3% in Line With Expectations

According to Sina Finance, U.S. Census Bureau data showed wholesale inventories rose to $958.854 billion in July from $946.69 billion in the previous month. The median forecast from 11 economists called for a 1.3% increase, with estimates ranging from 0.2% to 1.3%. Wholesale inventories excluding petroleum rose 1.1% in July. Wholesale sales increased 0.8% in July after falling 2.9% in the previous month, and the inventory-to-sales ratio was 1.2, compared with 1.19 in the prior month.
