European Groups Urge EU to Raise Tokenized Securities Cap to at Least 1.5 Trillion Euros

European financial and crypto industry groups have urged EU lawmakers to remove limits on tokenized securities or set a ceiling of at least 1.5 trillion euros. According to NS3.AI, the request was made in a letter sent to the European Council and European Parliament. The groups said a proposed 100 billion-euro cap would restrict growth in the sector. They argued that a higher limit, or no cap at all, would better support the development of tokenized securities across the EU.
