Societe Generale: Trump Team May Want a Weaker Dollar

According to Jin10, Societe Generale foreign exchange strategist Kit Juckes said the Trump team’s actions, from pressuring the Federal Reserve to direct currency intervention and lower U.S. Treasury yields, have continued to send signals that it wants a weaker dollar. He said the bigger question may become how to stop the dollar from weakening further, or at least limit the resulting overseas capital outflows, and that the United States may have to work harder in the future to attract foreign capital.
